Hi the LCD screen on mi kodak C653 has cracked i'm fairly sure i will be able to fix it but does anyone no where i can get a replacement from?
I bought another camera with other problems. It had a great lcd. I took it out and put it in my camera. It was very easy. One thing to do carefully, is the unplugging of the screen. The little black tabs slide down to the bottom of the camera. Othere than that is is a 15 minute job.
1. take all screws out.
2. unsnap the case carefully.
3. slide black clips on both sides of LCD leads, both have them.
4. slide new screen into place, slide black clips back up, latch down screen.
5. replace case then screws. Done Deal.
If camera worked before it will be better now.

It is easy to replace the screen. A new one can be found on Ebay and elsewhere. I paid 29.95 for mine. All you have to do is remove 5 small phillips head screws. You will need a very small phillips driver for this. When the screws are removed, you can open the camera case. Be very careful not to touch the capacitor for the flash unit. There are two leads, yellow in color. Carfully unplug these leads and remove the damaged screen, then plug in the leads to the new one. Replace the case and tighten the screws. Your camera should work fine.

Yes you can go to the dealer to fix it or buy a lcd to them and replace if but if you have friends that has the same unit that is not working maybe you can ask to have it or just buy it for a lower price then replace you lcd
hope this will help

If the problem is that you see like weird colors in your screen, try to gently hit the lens part and then with your fingers gently push the screen so the liquid in the screen moves aorund a little bit, try it a few times it worked for mine. good luck

Apparently this is happening to everyone. The only solutions i've seen are take it to a kodak dealer (too expensive ) or find a used one on ebay and they are rare.

the camera fell about three feet while it was on and the LCD cracked. Would like to change it myself since the service center quoted Rs. 1200 LCD, Rs. 700 to change and 200 service tax. Camera is barely three months old.
