have you right clicked the game icon and set compatibility to windows xp service pack 3 and put a tick in the Run as administrator

Run the Program Compatibility Wizard

1. Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.

ok, I have Win 7, but should be the same. if you have a shortcut icon for the game on the desktop, do this. STEP 1- right click on the icon, Step 2- select 'properties', STEP 3- select 'open file location' this will open the folder where the exe file is and it will be highlighted. STEP 4- right click on it and click on 'properties' STEP 5- click the 'compatibility' tab across the top of the box. STEP 6- tick the box that says 'run as' and choose XP from the drop down options. STEP 7- click 'apply' (or OK)
close all the boxes, and try to launch the game.
this should work. if you already know where the exe file is located, find it and go from STEP 4.

U using Win 7 or XP...............if Win 7 right click the game's icon and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility..........select "Try recommended settings" then click "Start the Program"...

Try running it in compatibility mode, and if that doesn't work you could also try messing around with some other settings near compatibility mode. I had to do this for an old game called Diablo 2, but it's easy enough to do.

Find the game's launcher, either the desktop icon or the .exe file. Once you find this file, right click on it and in the menu that comes up, select the tab that says compatibility. Here, check the "run in compatibility mode for" and select Windows XP, since that is the OS that you are sure it works on. If that doesn't work, try messing with some of the options too, like the resolution and display scaling. For some odd reason, those make a difference sometimes. I remember Diablo 2 having a strange combination required to work on Windows 7 for me.

I think the problem you are having is related to your computer hardware configuration . .

But you can do something to achieve better gaming experience . .

Go to the game icon e.g. 7sins.exe

Right click on it and Click on Run as an Administrator.

Say Yes or OK to the next screen.

And you can play it without inconvenience . .


But this is not a permanent solution ..
For a permanent solution . . you need to upgrade your RAM so that it may process the game more smoothly..

Many old pc games are not compatible with vista. It may work if you right click on desktop icon click properties then click compatibility and set check the box to "run this program in compatibility mode for xp service pack 2". Hope that helped!!!

A lot of your older games, especially those designed for Win 95, 98, 2000 will not work on current generations of Windows. What you could try to do is run emulation software to emulate one of these environments. The only drawback to this is that not only will you need the emulator (which is usually fairly cheap), you would also need a legitimate older copy of windows to install.

Your only other real option would be to browse ebay and maybe find an older comp that someones just looking to get rid of. Depending on your level of expertise setting up the rarely used emu software this may actually be a quicker and less stressful route.

Other than that, I can't really think of any other options you would have other than the Windows XP mode if your version of Win 7 is fortunate enough to be Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise. If you are lucky enough to have one of those than this link should put you in a good direction.

Go to My computer and right click on the disc and select explore, now find the setup.exe file in the folder and right click on it, now select properties, now select the tab marked compatability, now select in the dropdown box "Run as win 95" and click apply/ok.

Now right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as administrator".

It should now install.

Try this:

Right click on the D:/Poppack-setup.exe -> Properties = Compatability Tab.

There should be a box that says "Compatibility Mode" that you need to chek, and then select Win95 and hit OK.

Try installing again.

If it still gives the same error, go back to the tab and go lower than the Compatibility Mode box, to Display settings, and chek "Run in 256 colors" and "Disable Visual Themes"

Try again.
