Yousaf/Tony, Either the switch is defective or the heat element has gone bad, probably not cost effective to repair.

Do you drain the vinegar before turning on the iron and steaming through?

I HAVE AN Bosch TDS 1445/05 Sensixx AND THE IRON PLADE NOT WORM AT ALL. I CHECK THE POWER.I CHANGE THE THERMOSTAT/THE CONDENSER WITH THE LAMP/.BUT STILL NOT WORK. THE BOILER WORK GOOD.PLEASE HELP ME.WHAT CAN I DO MORE. THANK YOU

Iron not steaming AT ALL.

I have a tefal gv 7096

It turned on, all lights working and i can hear it heating up and when opening the calcium deposit i can see steam.

When i pressed the button - nothing. The iron it's self is hot (the plate) the lights on and but no steam.

The cord connecting the iron to the steam was also cold, so i could tell no steam was getting to the iron at all.

I wasn't sure if it was the button not working or something clogging the cord to the iron.

I did the vinegar thing. Let it sit for sometime (40 mins) and still nothing.
I did a weird thing of very carefully putting water on the plate while hot and it created steam from the plate. i think some backflowed and it started steaming, within seconds. might have happened with a bit more time anyway, but it def helped. All wokring fine now :)

if the iron is still getting hot and generating steam i would say the light has failed, however if nothing is happening you could change the fuse in the plug if you now how if not get some one who dose and if this dose not help then i think your iron has had it

2. calc'n clean The "calc'n clean" function helps to remove scale particles from the steam dispenser. The iron includes a system to warn when the dispenser needs periodically cleaning. When the "calc 'n clean" symbol lights up on the navigation display the dispenser needs cleaning. Fill the water tank. Plug in the iron and select the temperature setting . After the necessary warm-up period, unplug the iron and hold it over a sink. Position the steam regulator to the "calc'n clean" position and keep it in this position. Gently shake the iron. Boiling water and steam will come out, removing any scale or deposits that might be there. When the iron stops dripping, position the regulator to the position. For improved descaling, heat up the iron again fully and press the steam button several times in quick succession. Then wait until the remaining water has evaporated from the soleplate of the iron. Once it has been cleaned, the cleaning warning must be cancelled on the navigation display. To do this, simply press and hold the on/set navigation key for more than 5 seconds, with the iron plugged in. If you do not do this, the cleaning icon will remain lit. 3. anti-calc The "anti-calc" cartridge has been designed to reduce the build-up of scale produced during steam ironing, helping to extend the useful life of your iron. Nevertheless the "anti-calc" cartridge cannot remove all of the scale that is produced naturally over time.

NO IT NORMAL , THE WTAER HAS TO REACH 100,dec IE , BOILING POINT BEFORE IT CAN STEAM , NEXT TIME WAIT A BIT LONGER AND YOU SHOULD GET THE GREEN LIGHT .
