SOURCE: where do i hook the brown wire to clarion cz100

The brown wire is probably phone mute. You don't really need to attach it to anything for the radio to work.

Clarion Marine Problem w Sirius CeNet Unit

When a CD changer or Sirius satellite receiver is added to a system, the source unit’s main wiring harness must be disconnected before the changer and/or satellite receiver’s CeNET cable is connected to the source unit. Otherwise, the source unit will not “recognize” that a CD changer or Sirius satellite receiver has been added.

I need a wiring diagram to hook up a new radio.

First you will need to get a wire harness for your specific make, model & year of car. This will interface the car wiring plug to your new clarion headunit.

Next you will connect the wires from your purchased wire harness to the wires of your Clarion Headunit. Using **** connectors with a wire crimper is the best way to do so.

Here is a wire color coding guide for the wires on your Clarion headunit:

P o w e r Memory (+12v Constant) Yellow Ignition (+12v Switched) Red Ground (-) Black Dimmer Pink/White (Alpine only) Power Antenna Blue Amplifier Turn-on Blue/White Phone Mute Light Blue (Sony only) S p e a k e r s Right Front (+) Gray Right Front (-) Gray/Black Left Front (+) White Left Front (-) White/Black Right Rear (+) Violet Right Rear (-) Violet/Black Left Rear (+) Green Left Rear (-) Green/Black

I Have A Clarion CZ100 On My Integra, I Put It Back On Yesterday Because My Car Came Out of The Shop. It Was Doing Fine Until Today, Turn On My Car and It Played, But When I Wanted To Change The Radio...

it's more likey the faceplate, and where it makes contacts with the unit. if you try applying pressure and moving the detachable faceplate on while attached and it turns on, there could be a cold solder/loose connection on the board.

I have a clarion cz100 hooked up to a 1000 watt autotek amp and it is connected to a red top optimum battery. When i turn it up to BUMP it if im not moving the stereo will shut off. I had it hooked up to a...

some stereos will shut off if the voltage drops below 12 volts. measure your voltage at the battery with the car at idle and stereo turned up and all accesories and lights on. you should have 14.4 volts with the car running. the batteries voltage is 12.6 volts so you have to have more than this to be able to maintain steady voltage to your components. if the voltage drops too low when the bass hits it can shut off your radio. a capacitor can help this and the safe number is 1 farad for every 1000 watts. if you plan on adding any other amps autotek and phonix gold both make a digital capacitor that is compact and go anywhere from .5 farad to 10. the bigger the cap the better. if your voltage readings are ok then check that your speaker output wires are not touching.

Installed cz100 radio sounds great, cd loads & reads but no sound???

are you using an amplifier? if so, it sounds like you are using the blue (antenna remote turn on) wire instead of the blue/white (amp remote turn on) to turn the amp on.
