I have a Kenmore Elite dryer and it takes 2 to 3 cycles to dry a normal load of clothes. Any ideas?
If the clothes are warm after the cycle then you need to make sure the vent to the outside of the house is not plugged if they are not warm then it is in the heating circuit of the dryer wether it be the element or a fuse will have to be tested. to dry clothes it takes heat and air flow if you dont have one of the two they will not dry correctly
My Kenmore Smartheat Quietpak 9 dryer runs for about 10 minutes, then shuts off as if it completed the entire cycle. I can get it started, it produces heat and eventually (after doing this 3-4 times) will get everything dry. I checked the lint trap and the hose exiting the dryer and there are no clogs. Is there a diagnostic i can run? Any other ideas? Sears wants $129 to send out a tech (which includes labor, but not parts).
The
Kenmore 80 Series of dryers are consumer grade dryers for home use. As
with most home appliances, the Kenmore 80 series dryers will
occasionally not work as intended. If a problem occurs with your dryer,
however, you do not necessarily need it serviced by a technician. You
can attempt to troubleshoot and fix any problems with your dryer before
contacting a technician.
