If your provider has only 3G in your area, it wont work unfortunately due to the frequencies involved. it uses
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 on 2G Is your provider using only 3G by any chance? or is the area you live in only covered by 3G?
Ok, THIS WILL WORK! It worked on my W580i and it wasn't even supposed to. FIRST! Download (8.8MB) XS++ From HERE:http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=16338SECOND! No install. It just runs.Make sure you have ALL drivers for YOUR phone. That should be under the battery. Under model... or something like that. HERE!http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/Sony_Ericsson.htmlTake your phone, turn it off. Start this program and click on connect. You'll have 30 seconds to plug your phone into your computer and HOLD CThe entire time! (the delete button or 2). If connected, then click at the button: GDFS. There will be a phone lock reset to "0000". Click it.It will take no more than 45 seconds. I promise. Unplug your phone, and vuala! If your phone won't turn on, try pulling out the battery, putting it back and trying again. This program is also good for flashing phones, and putting flash menus on your phone. Also unlocking it and debranding it. GOOD LUCK!
hello there....well its quite simple...there is nothing wrong with your phone ...its your SIM... if it is asking for a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code...call your subscriber (AT&T) and ask them for PUK code, entering this code will reset your sim ...it is free
If the error message is saying sim damaged call them and ask for a "sim replacement" you will get a new sim while you will retain the same number ,however you will lose the phone numbers and other data stored in sim, this can be free but it depends on the company and how 'customer friendly they are
if you have changed sim that could be because your phone is restricted to your original network provider...then call the and tell that you want to unlock it to all network...this is a chargeable service
