Ive had this watch for a while but it was in storage and dead, took it to the idiots here and they opened it up because they "forgot" that this model is solar powered anyway, the watch is currently on TME everything is correct except the battery indacator is not indicating battery but is pointing between europe and usa.
Although your watch is solar-power all Eco-Drive watches contain a rechargeable battery known as a capacitor. They last longer than a regular battery but are difficult to get replaced because nobody carries them. Firstly I assure you whoever opened the watch did damage it. The solar sell is under the dial so removing the back would not have exposed it to anything. Rechargeable batteries do not hold a charge forever and do need to be replaced every 5-10 years. In order to know which capacitor you need you need to find out what movement model is in the watch (this is different than the model number of the watch you must physically look at the movement) (unlike batteries capacitors all have the same number on the cell so you need to know the movement number to order the proper size). Once you have obtained the capacitor repairing your watch because no more difficult then changing a battery. I'd ask those people to take the back off again so you can find out what movement is in the watch. Typically it's a 4 digit number but sometimes it also has letters in front of it and I've also seen them with only 3 digits. If you could supply me with the movement number I can supply you with a the proper capacitor at a price of $45 with free shipping and tracking.
Testimonial: "I left the watch in the dark for a day and it stayed on maybe there is just a problem with the dials? have you ever heard of that happening before?"
Meant to say they did not damage it.
In fact if you would like proof that the capacitor is the issue simply leave the watch in the dark for any length of time. I guarantee you that it will stop running if not exposed to a light source. A properly working capacitor should hold a charge for at least 24 hours if not longer.

SOURCE: analog clock not in sync with digital clock
This problem may be due to your analog hands being improperly zeroed. To find out, try this: 1. Put the watch in chronograph mode by rotating the crowon in its normal position to "chr" 2. Pull out the crown two clicks. This should cause all of the hands to point to zero. If you do this and your minute hand points to 1 o'clock, or five minutes, you will know that this is the problem. If this is the problem, you can can correct it by zeroing the hands as follows: 1. Put the watch in chronograph mode by rotating the crowon in its normal position to "chr" 2. Pull out the crown two clicks. This should cause all of the hands to point to zero, or close to it. You should also notice the letters "HR" in the lefthand digital display. This allows you to move the hour hand by rotating the crown. If the hour hand is not pointing at 12 o'clock, rotate it so that it does. 3. Push the top button once. The letters "MIN" should appear in the lefthand digital display. This allows you to move the minute hand on the large dial, and the minute and hour hands on the small UTC dial. Rotate the crown so that the minute hand points directly to 12 o'clock. 4. Push the top button again. The letters "SEC" should appear in the lefthand digital display. Rotate the crown to point the second hand directly at 12 o'clock. 5. Push the crown back into its normal position. Set the digiatl time and date in your tie zone, and your analog hands should match the digital read-out. If the zeroing of the hands is not the problem, I don't know what is wrong with the watch.
