SOURCE: Hygena oven trips main fuse box when switched on

sounds like that element is getting a "hot spot",high resistance area, will oven operate w/o that element in place?you also could have a bare wire touching the oven case somewhere, if it trips w/o having anything turned on remove back cover and examine all wires and connections

Have a Simpson evolution 807 wall oven. What fuse amps do I need as it keeps tripping the 20 amp circuit .

Check the data. If it should have a 20 amp fuse and it blows or trips a circuit breaker you probably have a faulty element. Try disconnecting each element in turn,

Hj4560 went off when out tripped electric wont turn on keeps tripping

Constant or repetitive disconnects are a sign of a serious fault. Wires can be OK, but elements can become stressed and burn out. If an element is energized and can no longer heat up, it shorts out and a circuit breaker may pop. Testing the elements with a VOM can indicate whether the properties are good or bad. Replace!

Grill stopped working

You need to disconnect the element and check for short to the body which can confirm that the power tripped due to this short.
If the element is intact and shows good reading then check on the switch and wiring harness , disconnecting the suspected wiring will confirm as there will not be any tripping.

This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
  2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Using my EOB5630 oven went bang

the fan element will have shorted out. if you remove the panel from inside the oven you may see where the circular fan has shorted. It will have blown a fuse poss in a plug if connected that way.or tripped a circuit breaker. remember to set the clock when power is restored as it wont work until you do.

I have a baumatic bc3510ss double oven. everything works fine except the large oven. you can turn on the grill or oven but when you turn on the temperature the rcb blows on the fuse box.

Tthere are a couple of possibilities for your prob, the thermostat, or the oven element is faulty.
Disconnect the oven element, and try it again, if it does not trip, replace the element, if it still trips, replace the stat.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Belling XOU252 Single Oven Trips Fuses Repeatedly

Hi.
Probably a faulty element, if you feel competent enough, disconnect the feed to the elements in turn, this should eliminate the problem.

Good luck.
