you replaced the power amp ic before that you need investigate the condition of power ic and it's very simple when you terned on the tv set you can hear the small pop noice from the tv speaker means the power ic is good other way is just tuch the screw driver to sound if output stage you can hear the DERRR sound from the speaker

yup very frustrating everyone thinks your to cheap to put fuel in and it gets real embaressing. well whats happened is your float attached to your fuel indicator module which is inside your tank has fallen off its or come loose so its not letting the switch function thus the gage malfunction
