Comment by other expert is a valid one----also look with color turned off to see if screen is black and white or another color.
Set does based on model given have 3 picture tubes---a peek inside with set on will reveal if red, green and blue tubes (lens point up) are lit or not.
Hi Thanks for using FixYa. Usually
this happens when the Light Engine has gone bad, and I should say this is a
common issue with Projection TVs. There are three tubes/mini LCDs inside your
TV- green/yellow, blue and red. When the set heats up over time of usage the
screens tend to break resulting in leaking color everywhere. The cost to get
this fixed by a professional should be around $300 depending on the parts that
needs to be replaced. Please do accept the
solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
You need a Blue picture tube CRT you can get one for your JVC at the following link for a real decent price and they provide free shipping. Heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
The blue filter is burnt out. A very common problem in Zenith DLPs. There are 3 color filters, 1 blue (a pinkish color), 1 green (a grayish brown) and 1 red (it is red) they give you your colors for you picture. This is a simple fix.
