Sony KDL-46V3000 Bravia LCD Black screen

I had my Sony 46" LCD for about 2yrs. Few months ago, the TV started automatically turned off after watched for 30 minutes, then it turned to stand by mode with blinking red light. Until now, the LCD is complete turn off, no screen, no sound. When I Pushed the power button, at first, the power green light turned on for about 5 second,, but screen is still black. after the few seconds, then it turned to standby blinking red light, blinking continued every second. I couldn't see screen was on at all time. The TV is completely off all time. Please help! Is this complicated issue? Thanks

It's not to complicated, in the newer TVs as well as other things, when you first turn them on the diagnostic circuits kick in [that the first relay you hear click] it sends a signal (low voltage) to all the circuits to check them and make sure there are no problems. If it gets the proper returns from each circuit it kicks out and the full power relay kicks in and powers your set up. This is done to protect others circuits that might be effected by a flaw in a different circuit. What started as a small flaw in a component has gotten worse with use which is normal. Your set is kicking the diagnostic circuits and they are detecting the problem and shutting it down. You have problems with your power board, if the diagnostics circuits were not in place and full power hit the set the power board could possibly put triple or more voltage to some section of another board, thus burning it out also. That's why they started using the diagnostic circuits on TVs, Computers have had them for years. Late model car - etc. I would take the power board out of it and go to shop Jimmy's and enter the part # which will be on the board and order me another one and pop it in and kick back and watch TV again. I don't know what a power board would cost for it but "shopjimmy's" carries high quality boards at a reasonable price. I do caution you on buying a refurbished board, they are tempting but I have never and I mean never seen one hold up very long. As a matter of fact I will not put one into a TV or anything else for that matter. So there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not the train this time! I only work on the kind of TV that plug into the wall or run on batteries, therefore, I've seen a bunch of them in14 years. Don't worry about getting the wires mixed up because one thing about TVs is a harness or plug will only fit one place and that is where it belogs you can't cross them up.

Please count Sony KDL-46V3000 standby light blinks as there would be interval of 3 seconds between blinks. Let me know how many times light blinks as its an error code.

SOURCE: I need a replacement screen

You can try contacting www.shopjimmy.com
It will be more than the TV is worth, better off selling the TV for parts on EBAY, then use the money toward the new TV. LCD panels are limited production run, and it is the most expensive of the whole TV.

Sony bravia kdl-46v3000 screen is full of lines at start up and slowly starts going away sometimes even blank screen have to shut it off and back on for screen to come back on .any sugestions?

Hi,
Basically it is problem of lcd panel (screen) but some times T-Con board (it is also part of lcd panel) replacement fix the issue.
T-Con board is located top center of lcd panel at back and need to take off back cover of tv to see it, this board would be covered under metal shield.
Expertise are required to replace this board and novice can damage lcd panel (screen) permanently.
Thanks.

Image does not position well

Your Sony TV remote has a "WIDE" button. Press this a few times in a row some that you understand it's operation. Then pick a mode (I would recommend "FULL") that fits your needs. I hope this helps.

My Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 Television has messed up colors on left side when first turning it on.....after 5 or 10 mins the picture is normal.. Also without turning on the receiver (only TV) can't select...

This also happened to me and may continue to get worse... If it goes away for a while after warming up, then it is the same problem... The LCD panel is probably going out, when that happens the cost to repair it is more than the tv is worth... If it is in warranty then you can have it replaced or fixed.

Vertical lines on sony kdl-46v3000 bravia lcd tv

i have the same problem, apparently the LCD panel needs to be replaced and this will cost more than the tv is worth... Advice is to not buy a sony again, because this is a common problem and they wont extend the warranty, even if its 2 weeks after it runs out...
