Tablet pen cursor moves in the wrong direction

Wow been there my self on my gateway tab also. I found by trying this to be a issue with the FLICKS settings and needed to update the firmware and re calibrate the pen without flicks or other short cuts u might use. Also if u just bought this PEN locally u might contact the seller for assistance and if not able ask to exchange this one to test out if its on your side of the problem or just a issue with this model pen. I often do not try to do to much testing of hardware that might cause more questions and often more problems later. I recommend before u start trying out possible fixes that change the config of now a system that works with 3 pens and has in past what might u change could not help us determine if its your side config or if its a bad pen or is it a known issue and if it is we might beable to at least leave a trail of what we did incase we need to undo what changed.
Please if u could tell us the make of the pens that worked and the make and model of the one that don t... also u might see if anyone else u know could test this pen too on there tab for out ruling works or not.
Good luck ill follow ur posts

My Genius Mousepen 8x6 tablet isn't working with the pen. If the pen touches the tablet, the light lights up, but the cursor doesn't click and it won't move either. The mouse is working fine, though.

My i608 pen stopped working today. I've had it for a month. The mouse was working fine, but the pen wouldn't work at all. Then I left the mouse on the pad and used the pen while the mouse was on the pad, and the pen started working again. Now it works even without the mouse on the pad. Did it re-establish the radio connection or something by doing that? Anyway, saved me the $25 replacement cost.

I have a wacom Intuos2. I have some proble with the pression of my pen. Suppose i draw something using the pen, it continues to draw even if the pen is not touching the tablette anymore. It happens with...

In the wacom control panel, there is a sensitivity setting. move the slider to less sensitive. this does not affect the pen pressure, only how sensitive the tablet is to recognizing the pens presence.

Tablet not recognizing pen unless pressing down with it.

Hi, i browsed the Net in three languages to find the solution for this problem but nothing helped, then, accidentally, i bumped into the solution that helped me. I tried everything the same way you did but nothing helped. Since I use the russian version of Windows I do not know how these options might be named in english, but I think you'll understand. In Control Panel there is, as you know, the setup for pen and tablet input (with a picture of a pen) - in it there is a setup for Gestures (the middle one) - in it i disabled the gestures a long time ago. But today i tried turning it ON and went for training of these gestures (the option in blue letters at the very bottom) - and during the training my pen started hovering normally again after half a month of this problem. So I left the gestures enabled after completing the training and it still works fine. Hope it helps you,

Screen rotates, pen doesn't

Is it maybe possible it is a hardware prob? maybe the directional sensor in the tablet was displadced.

BTW i have the same tablet and need an harddrive replacement/upgrade, how did you manage to do that? what kind of drive and where to buy? Viewsonic seems not so eager to help me out with that.

Best,

Fredrik
