After looking over the Apple knowledge base...http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106559

and

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25333

It appears to be recognized as a universal key. If you need to use it and have not found a way around it, I would copy if from an email, paste it onto a stickie and paste it when needed.

Not a true solution, but for now it should work,

Hope this helps.

How to sync iMac with iPad?

The easiest way to sync a Mac with an iOS device like the iPad is to configure both to use iCloud for syncing.

Make sure you use the same Apple ID when you sign in to iCloud.

On your iPad, go to Settings -> iCloud. The "Account" line will show your Apple ID. From this screen you can also turn on syncing for contacts, calendars, etc.

On the Mac, go to System Preferences -> iCloud, Click the "Account Details" button to see what Apple ID you're using. If it's different from the iPad, then click Sign Out, then sign back in with the same Apple ID used on the iPad. Be sure to check the checkboxes next to the items you want to sync.

I want to eject cd from cd rom apple system imac

To eject a CD/DVD that is not recognized by your computer, boot up while holding down the eject button on your keyboard, and continue to hold down eject until the disk ejects.

If this does not work, hold down your mouse button while booting up in the same way.

If neither of these work, open Terminal and type in the following:

drutil tray eject

If your disc does still not eject, your optical drive likely needs repair.

APPLE IMAC G4 - TRYING TO INSTALL OS WITHOUT DISK EJECT BUTTON

Reastart the iMac and at the same time hold down the mouse left click button. If that does not work.
  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Immediately after the startup sound, press and hold the key combination Command-Option-O-F.
Note: The Command key has the Apple and (commandkeysymbol.gif) icons on it.
  3. Release the keys when you see a white screen that says "Welcome to Open Firmware."
  4. At the prompt, type: eject cd
  5. Press Return, then wait a few seconds. The disc drive should eject any disc that is present, and "ok" appears behind your command when the action is complete.
  6. Type: mac-boot
  7. Press Return.

No output from Keyboard

Hello, Please reboot the computer in "safe mode" holding the shift key at startup. This will deactivate temporarily your extensions. If the keyboard works in safe mode, then go to the apple menu, system preferences, and accounts. Add a new account, reboot and log into your new account. If it still works, then that means that you have a corrupted preference Best regards
