Blown channel? I have an infinity 5760a six channel amp, which worked well for a while but now has an issue which i find very annoying. the four channels for the front and rear speakers work fine but the sub output is where i am having the problem. whenever i hook up both channels and when the bass hits, the entire amp shuts off for about 7-10 seconds and then comes back on gradually until the bass hits hard enough then the same problem occurs. it does this when both channels are being used either separately or bridged. I can use either channel independently of the oither with no problems. I have tried to figure out what is wrong with no luck as yet.

Your amp try to protect itself from damage when he feels some trouble from your sub.-start by changing sub cabel and sub itself if it does not becomes ok.
if all above failed---you have serious problem in sub output stage and can be fixed in service center.

I have a kenwood excelon xr-4s amplifier and in channel 1 and 2 i have front speakers, in 3 and 4 i have a infinity kappa doble coil 4ohm each coil. When i turn it on loud it shut down the amp and start on...

Since you have two dual 4 ohm voice coil subs, hopefully you had one sub wired in parallel to each channel separately (one sub on 3, one sub on 4). That way, each channel gets 2 ohms. If you have both subs bridged across channels 3 and 4 (left + and right -) then you have applied a 1 ohm load to your amp, which would cause the problem you're having. It's possible the amp has been damaged, but the fuses on the amp should have blown to protect the amp. Check your sub wiring to make sure you don't have a 1 ohm load bridged across channels 3 and 4. Also check the fuses on the amp itself to make sure neither of them have blown. If everything is fine there, check your fuse under the hood that's connected to your battery. That fuse could have also blown.

I have a four channel rockfor fosgate amp and I need to know hows the best way to connect Infinity Reference 1252w Car Subwoofers

Rockford fosgate usually work best with 2 ohm speakers. Depending on the resistance of your speakers, will then give you best connection. Check the resistance for the subwoofers. If the subwoofers are two ohm then connect them directly right and left. But if they are 4 ohm connect them parrallel (positive to postive, negative to negative and bridge the amp.) Good Luck, please rate.

My kenwood kfcw3011 stopped working. Amp indicator still on.

here is what you would do. the next time that your speakers cut out. leave everything running goto the speaker and slightly push on it. if the speaker starts to work again you have blown the coils loose and they are not making contact all of the time. you need to replace your speakers, or they could do more damage to your amp or head unit

if i have helped you in your issue, please leave a good rating. If you have further ?'s you can contact me at [email protected]

Component speaker not working

The easiest thing to test is to try swapping the connections of the front component speakers at the amp connections. If the problem follows the speakers, the issue is probably with the speakers. I would triple check (again) the speaker wire connections. It's also possible the crossover for the driver side component speakers has an issue (thus why the tweeter worked for a while).

If the problem stays on the drivers side, the issue is probably with that channel on the amp. Triple check the RCA connections for that channel.

It's much easier to test other speakers on an amp channel versus trying to check it with a meter.

If the driver's door is "abused" often, my initial thought is the wiring at the speaker or the wiring in the speaker (to voice coil, within the crossover, etc) is the most likely culprit.

Speakers

You have A and B output on your amp.For example you can connect two speakers on A and four on B but first check impedance of the speaker.Use four pioneers but make serial connection (+ wire of one speaker goes to +Rout,-of that speaker goes to + of another one and then its - to -Rout of the amp.Same thing for left channel.Thats for B output. For A simply connect speakers.By choosing A or B ON or OFF you'll get two or four speakers working. If A and B is ON all six will work.I hope that this will help you

Amp Issues

1) Make sure a bridged load of no less than 4 ohms is applied.
2) make sure both the left & right channels are working.
