White screen LCD screen is blank

did you ever get a fix to this problem? mine just did it!

A white blank screen usually means that there is no data reaching the LCD. This can be caused by a bad video card, bad cable, or bad LCD. Rarely, the cable is just unplugged on either the back of the LCD or on the system board (or video card if separate).

possible the firmwar is damage or sum ics have burn because of a power spike, or brownage while it was on charge, take it to a repair shop to be checked

Is the screen white, blank, or just hard to see?

If white, then the flex cable needs to be reseated.

If dark blank, then reseat the lcd assy itself and see if it works

Reseat the Sidekick 3 LCD Screen

If hard to see the screen, then the backlight is dead. A new screen is needed for that.

If you got a white screen, then you need to replaced a new AD board. AD board is a piece of component that you plugged your VGA or DVI cables to the monitor. Good lucks, Have a nice weekend!

if it is black then a new lcd is in order. They run about 45 dollars and fairly simple to install.

it would be easier to find it stripped from a damaged set on ebay.
I see several there but need the part number to search
of course you may purchase that and find it to be the lcd driver.hopefully not.

If your sidekick ID or Sidekick 3 screen is a blank white, then the lcd flex cable has come loose. It is a little difficult to repair but any one can do it. The worst that will happen if you try to repair yourself is that it will not work and you buy a replacement screen from ebay for 45 dollars.
