HI Alici,

This can be repaired, however, it will require a purchase of a new LCD screen, and possibly a new shell. I repair this kind of thing at my home.  I run the Playstation Clinic and charge reasonable prices to repair Video game consoles and DVD players.  All together I can replace both the LCD and face cover including return shipping will be $80.  This repair should only be done by a experienced Repair service.  Even knowledgeable repair people that have never disassembled a PSP can damage the psp so badly it will require the replacement of the motherboard as well, if not done properly.  The motherboard costs about $100.  If your willing to get it repaired you can contact me at [email protected].  We specialize in PSP repairs.  90 day warranty! The price above is only adding $25 Labor for up to 3 hours of work. Shipping will be about $5.  The LCD screen is about $30, and the cover is about $20. So your Repair would be either $60 or $80 depending on what parts are needed.

Wide screen monitor distortion
Depending upon the screen resolution that has been set in Display, the image will be distorted on these large wide screen monitors.
To correct this distortion.
1. Create a large circle image using a draw program such as Paint (hold down the Shift key as you create the circle as it will draw a perfect circle).
2. Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolution slider, increase or decrease the screen resolution then bring the circle image to the front and check the image, if the circle is still distorted then change the screen resolution and check the circle again until you are satisfied with the image of the circle.
3. When you are satisfied then click apply.

Water damage tv

The underside of the screen has a special coating necessary for reflecting the images from the CRT tubes. If the finish is disturbed, it will no longer be viable. You may have to replace the front screen or put up with a nasty screen.

Vizio 32'' VO320E Image Distortion

Hi,

I hope not but:
this is probably a failure from the screen or the electronic parts that control the videosignals.
i think having a specialist or the tecnical service from vizio taking a look at it will be best and safest.

Hope this is helpful, and greetings,

Olivier.

Distortation of engineering drawing in Ms Excel

Hi,

I am assuming that the reason you are using Excel is because of the gridlines. An "engineering drawing" done in Excel would break when rotated especially the angular lines. The reason is Excel does not have the necessary engine to display (render) such drawings. By Excel alone, there is no way out of this problem.

However, there is a workaround. After making the drawing, before rotating it, do a Print Preview. Open an image manipulation program, even a simple one such as PaintShop Pro. Capture the image on the Print Preview. Open another Excel sheet, copy and paste the image from the image manipulation program to the Excel sheet.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Philips 46-inch Rear Projection with bowed image?? slight distortion

You have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.

Screen looks 3D
One or more colors can't be adjusted when when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed in but stationary.

Solution:
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit inlcludes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself. Its an easy fix.
