E540-8005 in canon ir 2870

The waste toner container is full. the front cover of the machine (the one with the Canon logo on it) must be removed. behind you will see a big white plastic bottle. Remove the bottle, empty the contents into the bin, wipe it off, and refit all removed parts. Finally restart the copier.

You have waste toner full!
Remove the drum, on top of drum there is cork, remove cork and vacume all the waste toner out.

Sir I have canon 2870 machine. The machine giving the finisher problems, when starting the finisher going down. The machine showing the problem E540. Please kindly solve

Hello,
these means that in fixing assy is low temperature. It can be that you only need to clear the error trough service mode, or you need to change thermistor.

To clear the error:

enter the service mode:
1) Press the asterisk key " * " on the control panel
2) Press the 2 and 8 keys of the keypad at the same time.
3) Press the asterisk key " " on the control panel.


then choose COPIER, then FUNCTION, then CLEAR and choose ERR. Shut down and back ON the copier.

If these doesn't helps, replace thermistor which is inside of fixing film ceramics.
