Aficio color 6513 id sensor location, td sensor location
We are getting an sc385 error from our aficio color 6513 and from what i have discovered, the id sensor and the td sensor may need to be cleaned. where is the id sensor located? is the td sensor the one located in the centre of the toner revolver? if it is, i have cleaned it but there is no change. if this is not the td sensor, where do i find it? i have cleaned all visible connections.
Re: aficio color 6513 id sensor location, td sensor...
Toner density sensor is located in the developer unit. either the sensor is not reading cause something is covering it or it has poped so it can not reference any longer.

This code relates to the ID sensor voltage check which didn't fall between the accepted levels (4V +/- 0.5V). Possible causes: defective sensor, dirty sensor, loose/disconected wire on the sensor, dirty drum. If you need a manual with further details, it's available here. There's also some other helpful hints for this printer on that page.
SC385: Vsg Adjustment Error The LCD displays SC385 when the output from the ID sensor is found to be outside 1.8 ± 0.05 V during Vsg adjustment. Turning the power off then on resets this condition. However, SC385 is lit again after the end of each copy job even when this SC condition is reset by turning the power off then on. Toner is still supplied, but using fixed supply mode, until a subsequent Vsg adjustment is successful.
For Starters
· Dirty ID sensor · Poor connection of connector · Defective ID sensor · Poor cleaning 1. Clean the ID sensor. 2. Check if the sensor connector is properly connected. 3. Replace the ID sensor. 4. Check the drum cleaning unit.
Hello sir; the error code you display is toner senser problem, now the first thing you have to do is make a full color copy find out which color missing then pull out developer unit from missing color the senser right underneath, replace it.
SC352 Indicates ID Sensor/Pattern edge detect Error 3. If its a color machine, then it's a Magenta TD ensor failure.
Usually If you need to change the developer roller you should change the developer as well. Once that is done, then you go into service mode and calibrate the developer and initialize the TD sensor.
HI there I hope it is the colour machine version so below is the description from the service manual.
Thanks J
SC370 Abnormal TD sensor information (K) - Timing - When communicating with TD sensors, during printing process, or process control self-check - Condition - TD sensor output exceeds 4.5V or drops below 0.5V. • Poor connection • Dirty sensor surface • Defective TD sensor • Toner density is out of range • Not enough developer 3-007-001 1. Make sure the TD sensor is properly connected. 2. Check if the connectors on the TD sensor interface board 1 and the slip ring and the TD sensor interface board 2 are properly connected. 3. Clean the surface of the TD sensor. 4. Replace the TD sensor. If it becomes OK after the sensor is replaced, replace the developer of color related to the problem. If the problem is related to the toner density (too low or high), find the cause and fix it.
