SOURCE: I just bought a new

You should be able to plug the Atari directly into the TV (If you have proper inputs available on your TV (you have not told us what make & model your TV is). BUT you can hook it up through your DVD/VCR if you want to. If you hook your Atari to your DVD/VCR you will have to power up the DVD/VCR whenever you want to play your games. The cool thing about running it through your DVD/VCR is that you can record toy game to prove to your friends what you have achieved.

I bought a Atari FB 6 and am trying to hook it up to my Visio E70-C3. Nothing I do seems to work. Do I need some sort of adapter?

Your TV shows composite inputs and the Flashback 6 requires composite input capability. With that being said ensure your television is set to the right input channel and if this does not produce results there may an issue with the flashback unit itself. Before returning or further troubleshooting try the flashback on another television if you have one available. If none of these options work please let me know and will dig further for resolution.

Where do the white and yellow RCA cables go on my smart TV

The should go to the female colour coded RCA jacks on the TV if they are not present then your TV doesn't natively support them and you may need to buy a SCART to RCA adapter.

How to hook up my atari

It hooks up to the coaxial jack on the back of the tv ( antenna jack )
you will also have to get a Manual TV/Game Switch Box with Coaxial Output or a 300 to 75 OHM matching transformer or a coaxial (f-type) to female rca adapter. You can also just splice a coax cable to the Atari. There are also a converter box that will convert a coaxial input to RCA output ( Yellow, red, white) cabels

How do you hook up the atari flashback to the tv?

To hook up the Atari Flashback to the TV, it requires you hooking up the RCA Plugs. The Video cable hooks up to the video input of your TV and the audio plugs hook up to the Left and right of the Audio inputs of the TV.

Just make sure you remember that if you have multiple inputs on your TV that you know what input you have the flashback hooked up to and change the TV to that input.
