Audio static through DVD Recorder

I just bought a TruTech T650-DR because it has an antenna input.  However when I hooked everything up the audio coming from any DVD disc is harsh static.  The sound momentarily clears when a disc is starting up but quickly deteriorates to pure static.  My TV sound (for channels through my antenna) works fine but not through the DVD player.  Is the problem in the TruTech player?  Should I just trade it in for another?  Any suggestions welcome

Lost remote

Searching online I found a web site that you may order a replacement remote, however this web site no longer carries the T650-DR remote but they do carry a substitute.

http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&uuid=A12145901412461&smodel=T650DR&brand_pn=TRUTECH_T650DR

if the link does not work, go to http://remotes.com and in the top left search for T650-DR to find the replacement. Hope this helps, post back.

Will This DVD Recorder Burn DVDs from a Desktop?

Ive never seen a standalone DVD recorder that can connect to a pc unless it had a Hard Drive. This model is a Target exclusive company. These devices are designed to record video direct from either Antenna,Cable,VCR,or something such as a game console, or camcorder.

Hope this helps!

HELP

Hi,
There should be no problem with copying home recorded VHS tapes to DVD via the Scart or Video (yellow) output. It may be obvious but have you tried recording directly from other sources such as TV etc. Apologies if this is a trivial suggestion!

Cheers

Trutech dvd-r

Set it for antenna and use the single channel it sends to your TV, which is the only signal coming out of your cable box

Auto Tuning Problem

Wow sounds like you got a bad box,

Frist your Trutech needs to be set to Ch 3 or 4 what ever is open. if you dont see a Trutech Logo on your TV, then you need to go back to your TV and find the input Ch to your Trutech T650-DR.
If you do see the Trutech Logo then next on your Trutech T650-DR remote keep pressing the source button tell you see A Cable Ch. then press the return button.

Pause Protected

dbronx,
You might try unplugging the unit for several minutes in an attempt to reset the logics from ROM... TruTech is just one of those WallyWorld/Target specials that have very little support and breakdown frequently.. If I might suggest, it sounds as though you haven't had this unit long - take it back and get your money for it and go out and get a major player in the market. At least when it breaks you can more easily get some support...
A lot of these off-brands we get in here for repair just aren't worth the time and effort to repair and you would be surprised how many brands there are...
