sound like door left open for a while check light switch make sure door is sealing when closed and light turns off door may have droped and not contacting switch for light.

domestic fridge should reach 3c to 6c, freezer -18c to -22c

increase the thermostat settings to a more cooler temperature

I have a baumatic st steel fridge freezer (big one) oldish model I think but dont know any model no's. In the past day the red light keeps coming on and flashing which means its not getting up to temp I think. The Fridge seems ok and the top drawerin freezer is the worst, but others seem ok at the moment but conerned as to why this is happening as never happ before, has anyone any ideas please??

It sounds very much like control board problem. The chances of both sensors at fault seems unlikely. Unusual that it is the exact same temp unless they are your setpoint requirements. I would advice contacting reliable fridge guy to check the cabinet. Hope this is of some if not much help.
