Razr v3r does it have a sims card

  • Anonymous May 18, 2009

I have RAZR V3m. I'll be finding out in the next week or so if it has a SIM card or not. If it does, the phone has to taken apart. Which is what I'll be doing. I have a question for you; is your V3r a '''branded" phone (att, verizon, etc.)? Your answer could answer alot of questions for me and other RAZR V3c/m/r users.

Hi folks - I took apart and totally destroyed my Verizon branded RAZR V3m. There is NO SIM card. Instead, there is a memory chip hard wired to the circuit board. From what I saw, this memory chip is preprogrammed with the phone number and carrier features. The card picture referred to above is for the micro SD card. This card is just for additional memory - for pics, video, and music, dependent on the carrier. I also went to the Motorola web site. They're unlocked RAZR V3's have a SIM slot underneath the battery. Bottom Line? If your RAZR V3 doesn't have a SIM card slot under the battery, forget it. You can not change carriers.

I changed the sim card on my motorola razr v3r from the old one when they said it was no longer valid. After doing that, ALL my texts were deleted.

Hi Julie,
  • Go to an AT&T store and explain what happened, they might be able to help you.
  • Next time back up all your data first on a PC, Memory card or network before you do anything.

My v3r does not work with my pc

You need the Mobile Phone Tools to connect your mobile to the computer. If the phone has microSD card, you dont need the program but the V3 doesnt hace the microSD. Try to install the Mobile Phone Tools (wich comes withe your phone). Its a little bit dificult to connect the, but its possible :)

Razr v3r lcd

I would first try resetting the phone through the settings menu. Make sure you backup your data first, since the reset will wipe it clean.

If that doesn't work, you most likely have a loose cable inside of the phone. You can take it apart yourself and find the culprit, or take it to a shop for a cheap repair.
