My phone is flashing and has an envelope picture one it

I have comcast phone service now and today the phone started flashing. It never flashed before. I heard the call that was stored in the phone from comcast but that did not make the flashing go away. I do not like seeing the flashing. How can I make it stop.

It sounds like you have a voicemail. If you pick up the phone, and hear a pulsing dialtone, Either dial your own phone number, or press *99. It will give you instructions to listen to your voice message

Flashing envelope on screen

Try to delete a couple of messages from your inbox, the reason for that blinking envelope is your inbox's memory is full...therefore you have to delete some of the messages.

A flashing envelope is constantley on the screen

I had the same problem, it was because someone sent me a media message that couldn't be displayed. If you've gotten a text with a sound clip or picture lately, try deleting that message and it will hopefully go away.

I have the nokia 5800 xpressmusic which i have just got. in the top right hand corner there is a envelope flashing, when you click on it its says simcard memory full, i have all ready cleared the numbers...

If you've just put your SIM card in your Nokia 5800, you may have noticed a flashing envelope icon at the top of the screen.
This icon indicates that the SIM card's own text message storage is full. This doesn't actually cause problems on the 5800 because it stores its messages in the phone's own memory, but the envelope can look a bit annoying.
To get rid of the flashing envelope:

1. On the standby screen press the white menu button.

2. Select "Messaging"

3. Select "Options"

4. Select "SIM Messages"

5. Delete some or all of the messages from the SIM messages folder using the Options menu.

This should make the flashing envelope go away. You only have to do this once because when the SIM card is emptied it won't fill any more, as the 5800 does not store messages on SIM cards.

Constant flashing envelope on front screen

This is common on the Nokia N79. Your Sim card probably has text messages saved on it and the flashing icon is showing your sim sms memory is full. In the inbox go to the setting and view the sms on the sim, delete them and the message icon should stop flashing.

Nokia 6120 question

Hi,

This might be much to late but I am posting this because I could not find a solution on the web.

I had a similar problem after moving my sim from another phone to the new 6210. In the end it was because there was old unread SIM messages on the SIM card. I deleted them and all was fine.

To do thes go to messaging, select OPTIONS, SIM Messages. Mark all and delete.

Cheers,
