try this. unplug everything (power cord, av cables, wireless adapter, controllers) and take off the hard drive. dont plug anything in for about 1-2 minutes. when the time is up, put the hard drive on first then plug everything else in.
this has happened to me... i was first getting red ring of death then i fixed it and never got RROD again but it started freezing during gameplay, then at dashboard and then at the beginning until it couldnt start at all... this can be cause by overheating GPU and CPU causing them to bend and lose connection...just like RROD, or it can possibly be that component that reads and plays games, is screwed up...
after i play any game for about 5 to 10 minutes my PS2 slim just freezes and it has been doing it from the point i go it(about 5 months ago) and so i need to no what to do about it because it is the only console that i have
bet you are playing on a slim, turn of the umd cache in system settings then the problem stops perhaps the game (driver 76) doesnt support the umd cache system using the extra ram in the psp slim
well it worked for me anyway
There are two possible solutions to this issue. One the data that you downloaded either got corrupted during transfer somehow or during a resent save. You should delete all the iformation off your hard drive and start fresh. If this doesnt work try takeing off your hard drive and playing a game if it deosnt freeze you will need to either try the delete method or get a new HD.
If this doesnt solve your issue then it is very possible that your system is headed for the red rings of death. My system was fried after i had played assasins creed. It would freeze up and create this checker pattern on my back ground my system shortly after went red ring.
what do you mean by freezes up? Are there any blinking lights? Does the system shutdown? What size Hard Drive ?
