Connect to the Internet
ok, this is a little technical, dell decided to make a complicated WiFi system for this, but once ou get the hang opf it you will be able to connect in no tim.
1. push the WiFi button located on the lower right side , it kind of is flush with the body
2. wait about 20 seconds, if the WiFi meter in the lower right corner of the screen does not change the you will have to go deeper into the system.
3.hopefuly you have noticed the blue light flashing by now, if it has an erratic flash , it is searching for a signal
4.no wifi yet? ok use the stylus to tap the wifi meter bar on the screen, this will show a menu consisting of a (WiFi radio on/off option, edit profiles option, WLan status option, site survey option, advanced, and versions.
5.tap the WLan staus option, this will bring you to the menu, this menu can also be accessed by going to settings. anyway look at the bars for link quality and strenghth, if they have a little bit of blue or none at allgo to site survey at the bottom of the screen
6.this menu shows al the available wifi networks in your area, ifnone show up, and you know you are near one tap the profiles setting, this will show all the nearby sites you can tap and hold any of these sites and manually connect to the internet that way.
7. I warn you , the dell x30 is a little wonky a great PDA and usually works great for the internet but sometimes it jsut plain refuses to actually connect to a site, even though it has a connection. I haqve found the best way to cure this is to do a soft reset, and reconnect.
If this still doesnt work for you, feel free to repost this question or email me, i might be able to help with some more details
