Service light Why have an LED light tell you the trouble is XX but nowhere can one find what the error codes are? My unit turns on, runs for 30-40 seconds, then turns off, displaying E01. No where in the manual is there an error code definition. What can I try first to correct this fault?

SOURCE: Pool heater will not heat

Im no pro, but I know there is an air sensor behind the main board. If the fan is running you probably have a problem with that sensor. If your lucky the air hose could have just popped off.

E04 is an airflow fault. You should hear the fan come on. If not, the fan is bad. If so, then your problem is electronic and beyond the scope of most DIY'ers

SOURCE: Code E05

E05 and E06 is the error codes for a faulty stack flue sensor. try changing the sensor first is the cheapest. if that doesn't work check for corrosion on control board in which case will have to change out board.

How do I fix permanent DTCs 61-1 Modulator-Control unit initial IG low voltage?

Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 51-XX indicates an internal failure of the SRS unit (computer). There isn't much to the diagnosis of this code; the procedure consists of erasing the codes, cycling the ignition switch, and if DTC 51-XX, 52-XX, 53-XX, 54-XX, 55-XX or 58-XX is detected, replace the SRS unit. It's important to note that if the vehicle was in a collision prior to this failure, there are many other components that need to be replaced along with the SRS unit depending on which airbags and/or seat belt buckle tensioners deployed. Regarding VSA DTC 61-01, an OBDII scanner capable of accessing live sensor data should be using to inspect the VSA "BATTERY" parameter ID (PID) and compared to battery voltage read with a digital multimeter. If battery voltage is low for both, the battery and charging system should be inspected. If it's only low for the VSA unit, the VSA unit should be updated with the latest software. If up-to-date, the VSA unit connector should be inspected for loose terminals and power supply circuits checked for high resistance. If OK, the VSA unit should be replaced. Panasonic air con - when you turn the air con on it runs for about 3 mins and then the timer light flashes. Air con will not work.

• Once abnormality has occurred during operation, the unit
will stop its operation, and Timer LEDs blink.
• Although Timer LED goes off when power supply is turned
off, if the unit is operated under a breakdown condition, the
LED will light up again.
• In operation after breakdown repair, the Timer LED will no
more blink. The last error code (abnormality) will be stored in
IC memory.
• To make a diagnosis:
1. Timer LED start to blink and the unit automatically
stops the operation.
2. Press the CHECK button on the remote controller
continuously for 5 seconds.
3. "- -" will be displayed on the remote controller display.
Note: Display only for "- -". (No transmitting signal, no
receiving sound and no Power LED blinking.)
4. Press the "TIMER" or button on the remote
controller. The code "H00" (no abnormality) will be
displayed and signal will be transmitted to the main
unit.
5. Every press of the button (up or down) will increase
abnormality numbers and transmit abnormality code
signal to the main unit.
6. When the latest abnormality code on the main unit
and code transmitted from the remote controller are
matched, power LED will light up for 30 seconds and
a beep sound (continuously for 4 seconds) will be
heard. If no codes are matched, power LED will light
up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
7. The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled by
pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5 sec-
onds or without any operation the remote control for
30 seconds.
8. The LED will be off if the unit is turned off or the
RESET button on the main unit is pressed.

When you have the error code, we can work out what to do next.

Hi Tania,
Have you gone through this checking sequence.? it's from a Panasonic a/c manual. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter. Once you have rectified the fault, you will probably have to clear the fault code as described at bottom below, before it will condescend to work again.
David

seconds) will be heard. If no codes are matched, Power LED will light up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
  7. 7 The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled unless pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5 seconds or operating the unit for 30 seconds.
  8. 8 The LED will be off if the unit is turned off or the RESET button on the main unit is pressed.
14.2.3 To Display Memorized Error Code (Protective Operation)

When tape is inserted the unit starts beeping and I have to eject tape. Tapes will not play, rewind, fast forward or record? How can I fix this?

The beeping indicates that an error has occurred and that the unit has been disabled because operation could damage the unit further. To determine what the problem is- Turn unit off. While holding the STOP button, turn back on and continue to hold the button for 8 sec, then let go. Press display and you will get an error code on the monitor, for instance, C:21:00 error code (the most common code I get) indicates a condensation problem. If this is the code you get then leave the unit open in a dry place for 24 hours or so, and it should dry out the dew sensor and clear the code. The unit will hold up to 6 error codes in the order that they occur, rotate the wheel to cycle through the codes. Codes are displayed as - C:XX:XX. If you get a code other than C:21:00, then google the code,(Sony C:XX:XX) and the description will probably come up. Good luck.

To verify the region code, press [SETUP] followed by [1][3][7][9]. A screen will then pop up with the firmware info and the current region code setting. Using [SETUP][1][3][6][9] did not work for me.

Or
To modify the region, turn on the unit and open the disk tray. Using the remote, press [CLEAR][1][3][6][9][zone code] and cycle power on the unit (not necessary to unplug the unit, simply use the front left <POWER> button. Example: Turn on; open tray; [CLEAR] [1][3][6][9][0]; unit OFF, unit ON and you'll get a zone free DVD player.

To confirm the zone code, turn on DVD player, (unit may or may not have a disc, check that the disc tray is closed, and press [SETUP][1][3][7][9]. You'll have all the firmware information (Version xx.xx.xx.xx SUB-VER xx.xx.xx.xx;
