I need a computer that will run some old games that won't function on an operating system after Windows 95B. We had it working on a PIII for quite a while, but it has "died".Don't need anything flashy or fancy -- just sound and a modest video card or onboard video RAM. I've been told that Win95B should run on a Pentium II, III, or 4. I have an opportunity to purchase a refurbished P4 from various manufacturers (IBM, Dell, Compaq) from a reputable vendor. When I look up one of the models for sale on its company's web site, all the drivers seem to be for Win98, Win98SE or higher. Is this telling me something ... like I need to stick to a P3 or P2?

If compatibility mode doesn't work, the game is probably too old to be played on windows 7. You could use an emulation software to run an older windows version and play the game. Otherwise, Space Empires 2 being such an old game won't run on Windows 7. Sorry!

Hello, I'm sorry to tell you, but Hello Kitty is too old of a game to be played on a Windows 7 64bit computer, even if you do have good hardware (which you do). The only recommendation I can make to you is to try installing it on either a laptop with the 32bit version of Windows, or install the game on a computer with a different Windows operating system.
It requires at least 2 gb ram and c2 duo or higher.
Be sure you have that min with your pc.
next you need windows cd.
insert it int drive and press F3 or any key to boot with cd.
It's then very simple just do as pc says.
In format using type choose NTFS
next just proceed as directed and you are done.
Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is
for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like
you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from
other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before
installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use
"troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program
installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will
allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run.
