The link for step by step instructions was an advertisement for HP Printer ink, not changing TV coolant.I don't know if the step by step instructions are the same for my tv, since it's a sears and the LXI brand doesn't match up with anything. That is cooling oil... MCM electronics , or electronix.com , Union electronics.... remove old oil. i always replace the gaskets , tube must be removed, sat up , a black and decker work bench will work with the table open and level. good luck
If you're talking about the dual-rotation rear tine 900 series, produced by AYP, sold by Sears as Craftsman, also sold by Husqvarna, the actual belt size is 51-3/8". A 51 should work.
The LXI or Sears brand used philips TV's. These sets are known for bad coolant fluid. In between the picture tube and their lenses is a layer of clear coolant. Over time the coolant breaks down and causes the picture to become blurry. This can be a complicated repair involving removal of the picture tubes and lenses. Have a repair shop check it for you. hi, doesn`t have tv/video button on front of set ? LXI is a sears trademark, bring complete model number to any sears repair center and they can get you a remote for it, gl, video-tek
while i dont have a true answer, I can tell you its a magnavox tv sold by sears produced back in 93. Ours just started doing this last week. I couldnt find any help online so we replaced it with a new led flat panel. WOW what a difference, the LXI was great for the past 17 years but the new tvs are better. We put the LXI in the garage because we couldnt throw it away. That tv was like a family member, if i figure out how to fix it i will post the how to.
Sears parts will most likely have it (even if they never sold this model) go to sears. com look for parts -electronics all you need is the model number (on back of tv)
