Audio problem streaming media via ROKU and RCA players. Constantly have to adjust volume to hear them talk, but then the music/sound effects blast you out.

Can't get volume right to hear voices, but the music/sound effects are way louder. Using Netflix, Crackle, etc. Doesn't matter which player I use, happens with both, so I'm assuming it's my TV settings? Thanks.

It sounds like you're using a set of stereo speakers to play a surround sound output. I would try going in the TV menu and turning off surround sound

SOURCE: Can't get Roku N1100 to

Make sure you select the correct input for your device. If you are using RCA cables then select the RGB option on your inputs, or it may RCA as a connection. If you are using HDMI then make sure that is selected.

SOURCE: Purchased a sony SMP-N100 media

Hello there, What you have experienced is not a problem from any of the systems but it is an issue with size compatibility. Sony media player is meant to process small memory units of about 4gig to 64gig and maybe 120gig tops for efficient functioning. But when you connect a 1.2TB to it then the processing speed slows down considerably to what you have experienced. 1.2 TB hard disks are usually made for strictly storage purposes and accessing file directly from it could crash the disc. if you have to access from it best just copy to a smaller storage disc and use that. Try copying the pictures to a smaller storage device and test it and you would see it works well.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

SOURCE: my roku will drop the program while watching a movie

Sounds to me that your Roku is losing signal to the Router or hotspot. Try setting the router at least 5 feet away from the Roku Box and the higher the router is in the house, the better signal for all devices. Wi-fi broadcast down easier than up!

I am getting no sound when on TV sound.

Yes, to get sound from your Roku TV to your receiver when using the TV's built-in apps (such as switching to TV sound), you might need more than just RCA cables. RCA cables only carry analog audio signals, and many modern devices, including Roku TVs, use digital audio signals for better quality.
Here's what you can do to ensure you're getting sound from your Roku TV to your receiver:
  1. Check Audio Settings on Roku TV:
    • Go to your Roku TV's settings menu.
    • Look for the audio settings section.
    • Make sure the audio output is set to the correct option for your receiver. This is usually HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) or Optical audio.
  2. Use HDMI Cable with ARC Support:
    • If your receiver and TV support HDMI ARC, connect an HDMI cable between the ARC HDMI port on your TV and the ARC HDMI port on your receiver.
    • Ensure that the HDMI input on your receiver corresponds to the HDMI ARC output on your TV.
    • In the TV's audio settings, select HDMI ARC as the audio output.
  3. Use Optical Cable (if no HDMI ARC):
    • If your TV and receiver don't support HDMI ARC, you can use an optical audio cable (Toslink cable).
    • Connect one end of the optical cable to the optical audio output on your TV.
    • Connect the other end to the optical audio input on your receiver.
    • In the TV's audio settings, select optical audio as the audio output.
  4. Configure Receiver Settings:
    • Ensure that your receiver is set to the correct input source for audio. For example, if you're using HDMI ARC, select the corresponding HDMI input on your receiver.
  5. TV App and Volume Settings:
    • When using apps on your Roku TV, make sure the volume is turned up and not muted within the app itself.
    • Adjust the TV's volume settings to an appropriate level that allows your receiver to amplify the sound effectively.
  6. Test with Different Content:
    • Test the setup with different apps on your Roku TV to ensure that the issue is not specific to a certain app.
If you've tried these steps and are still not getting sound from your Roku TV through your receiver, it's possible that there might be compatibility issues between your TV and receiver. You could also try reaching out to Roku's customer support or your receiver's manufacturer for further assistance.

Why does my roku keep Turing off and on???? ??????

Does it shut off or constantly buffer?
You may have a bad connection check plug on ROKU box. Also check your HDMI or RCA (red white yellow plugs )CONNECTION.
Check batteries in remote ,take the batteries out or rotate batteries..
You may also have a very poor HDMI signal either because of slow internet speed or a weak router.

What to do if you do not hear the audio from your Roku

Audio Not Audible on Roku Device? Follow the steps
Sometimes this problem arrives on a Roku device and the user is not able to hear anything while playing a video. This occurs due to the wrong system configuration or device being set on a low volume option or mute.

Solution:
1. Try increasing the volume of your Roku streaming device and TV.
2. If this does not solve the issue
3. Then Go to 'Settings > Audio' and try switching between Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital/DD+ modes.
Setup Roku com link www roku com link Activate Roku com Link

How do we get our Roku to stop constantly loading during programs? It happens on all available channels and our internet signal is good to excellent.

It is probably not the internet connection in the house, but rather the bandwidth (data transfer rate between your home and the server from which you are streaming), this is usually a problem that can be solved by upgrading your internet package. Netflix adjusts to your bandwidth (and therefore should have less loading), while other sites do not and you will have to wait it out or upgrade.

Is there are a Bluetooth in built in Roku 2XS it seems to show up in my smartphone and table bluetooth device list and am unable to pair it.

That Roku has Bluetooth 3.0 built in. It is made for the gaming remote.

Juice for Roku lets you use wifi to stream music, pics, and vids from your phone to the Roku.

I have not played with the Roku iOS App nor the Roku Android App; but I hear they work well.

Let us know if you try them!
