Only three of its preset cycles will work and when it does start it will start and stop randomly, the lid locks and unlocks at will, and the spin speed light flashes up through all the options. eventually it will finish a wash cycle but even the off button won't turn it off. When I plug it back in it's right where irt left off. Is there a reset somewhere?

If the green cycle light is flashing on then off, this usually means the cycle is paused. The lid lock should unlock when in pause mode, if not you will need to press and hold the "Pause/Play" button to clear the cycle completely, if there is water in the unit, it will drain first, then unlock the lid and be on standby to start a new cycle. the deer incident is unlikely related to the problem. there are several on-board computers in modern vehicles responsible for the control of different functions inside as well as features. that includes the safety systems as well. the airbags and seatbelts have their own computer, as does the anti-lock brakes. there is a separate module responsible for storing the time of day, remembering radio presets, and the theft deterrent system...i believe the latter is causing your issue, making your doorlocks cycle inadvertently.
Check door switch: If
the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open
let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should
draining. Release switch. Motor
should stop. Press switch a second time.
Washer should start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on
while lid switch is pressed, replace the switch. OR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q942xn_2VXY Pl click if helped.
I solved the problem! Description of the problem: my touchscreen went crazy (it selected random thins, especially in the bottom region of the screen) quite often and every time i had to lock/unlock the phone in order to fix it... but after 30 sec the problem went back! Solution: remove the back lid cover, the battery and the sd card; unscrew the 5 screws and remove the second plastic lid; behind the battery slot you'll see three metal flap: when I opened my phone one of them wasn't in contact with the card! I fixed it and I cleaned these three contact with alcohol! Now my Wildfire S works fine!
For the FAV6800A the od alarm means the Control Board has not seen a lid open condition for three complete wash cycles. I suspect the left lid lock. I think you have a problem with the magnetic reed relay in the left lid lock.If you could try this?I want to make sure you signal an “OP” alarm to the display. Can you select Spin Only cycle with the lid open press start. Do you signal the “OP” alarm lid open to the display? If it does close the lid and the “OP” alarm should clear does it? I’m checking that the lid magnet is in place and the signaling connections are working thru the left lid lock back to the control board. Let us know what you fin and we will go from there. You could try powering down the machine by removing the 120VAC power cord from you wall receptacle. That may give you three more wash cycles before the od alarm is triggered again.
