External Speakers How do I make external speakers work on a proscan 32LA30Q TV. I Bought it used and didnt get an owners manual.

    Connected S Video cable from satellite dish receiver to 32LA30Q and the reception is clear. I connected RCA jacks to Ypbpr1-L & Ypbpr1-R but don't receive any sound.

    I have the same problems as everyone: PROSCAN remote don't work at all, codes from COX cable codes directory don't work put I can change the channels,the 0047 or 0747 don't work with mines and the external speakers don't work in the ypbpr jacks either so I requested the store persons to come and try it; also, when it was in the store their remotes couldn't work the menu.....the motto "So Advanced, Yet so simple" should not be used......

I have a sceptre flat screen i bought 2 years ago (40") the sound just quit can hook up external speakers?
Read the owner manual or check all the inputs on the rear to see if it has those connections---it is also possible a surround system routed from a box (cable or sat) might work to bypass this issue.


and do not forget to check in the set menu that the speakers did not somehow get switched to OFF.

Can external speakers/headphones be hooked up to a 32"Proscan TV?
I didn't fix it. I was looking for someone that said they could fix my problem. You were going to refer me to someone that may or may not fix it. I don't want to pay for that.

The speackers sound creckey when i hook up my playstation 3 when it plays dolby digital 5.1 and the thae games only work in 5.1
Are the speakers external or build in?

Anyway, my suggestion would be to replace the speaker unit because something like water, dust, dirt etc is causing the problem.

You may find it cheater to purchase some high quality external speakers for this unit.

No volume
On the back of your set there are 2 switches that tell the tv whether you are using the internal speakers or the external speakers.
Make sure the switches are set to internal so the speakers in the TV receive the sound signals. If they're set to internal maybe the internal speakers are bad. Set the switches to external and hook up external speakers to the speaker terminals on the back of the TV. If neither setup works then it sounds like an output transistor or related parts.

No Audio, picture fine
this is a very common problem just unplug tv for 5 minutes it
should fix it . simple fix most of the time with rca and proscan.
If that does not do it go into menu scroll down to audio and then press on .
