Not sure if its the same for all Kenmore freezer models but this may indicate it is in demo mode. To remove this press the up or down arrow three times as fast as possible (within 2 seconds). This will start the compressor, I hope this helps.

SOURCE: What should the tempurture control on a 13.7 cu.

you will have to play with the adjustment until you get into its range. the load has alot to do with the box temp. I suggest getting a thermometer and try setting the temp to @20-25 degrees and see if that helps

How do i get my Kenmore Elite freezer out of demo mode

Which model freezer do you have?

A few possible resets: press and hold the Set and + keys for 5+ seconds. On some models, that will get the freezer out of demo mode. On other models, it's the Set and Down arrow. For a few models, it's the Options and Up arrow. In all cases, it's press and hold both buttons until the unit responds.

I hope you will add a comment with the model of your freezer so that I can determine which set of instructions will work for your unit.

Let's try this again. My frigidaire freezer model Lffh21f7hwg, the display board reads "of". How do I reset it. I do not have the owners manual.

I appreciate your post, Clayton!

From the information you have provided the display board on your Frigidaire freezer reads "OF". That reading means your freezer is off, you should be able to turn it back on by pressing the up or down arrow five times in a row. If you need any additional assistance please feel free to reconnect. I hope this is helpful to you. -Matt

Display reads off and it will not re adjust to anything. I have unlocked display but nothing changes the setting.

There may be a child lock enabled, refer to the owner's manual to disable this feature, otherwise check the troubleshooting section of the manual.

Hello Michael - Sounds like the temperature control was accidently turned OFF. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating the freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if the unit's status has changed successfully. Thank you.

My new frigidaire freezer the digital display on outside of door flashes off what to do?

Hello - Typically "OF" indicates that the freezer is turn off. To activate freezer, press UP three times until display shows "1" then press UP to desired setting. If it will not allow you to change setting and freezer continues to be off, try resetting the freezer by unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn it on. If "OF" continues to display, the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the electronic control assembly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Temp display reads 92 (hi temp) but the interior temp is 0.

No. Sounds like the intern temp sensor is bad, missing, or not connected. 92 is probably the max reading it can display. The unit will probably operate continuously, be much to cold, and cost a ton to operate. I assume you bought this from Sears. Call them to replace the freezer. Should be no problem.

FFU14FC4AW3 keeps on running. Will not stop, even it is full and everything is frozen solid.

Try checking the Temperature Control:Testing Temperature Control
Test the control for continuity using a multi tester. Set the multi tester to the ohms setting X1. Place a probe on each terminal. Turn the control to warmest setting or off. The multi tester should display a reading of infinity. If the control does not have an off position, the reading should be near the infinity end of the scale. Now change the control to the coldest setting and retest. The display should read zero ohms. If the control does not pass both of these tests, the switch should be replaced.

What shld settings be as food is freezing in fridge it has side by side knobs saying colder mid less cold it is a westinghouse fan forced frost free freestyle unit

The settings are "relative". Someone with this fridge in Montana may need to run the same fridge with different settings than someone in Texas to get the same temperatures.

Many manufacturers recommend that the fresh food compartment should be 34 degrees F, and the freezer -10 to 0 degrees F. To set this properly, place a thermometer in the freezer (that can display temperatures as low as the desired temperature). Adjust the thermometer for the correct freezer temperature before going on to the fridge. A fully stocked freezer could take 12 hours or more for temperatures to stabilize after making changes to the thermostat. Once the -10 to 0 degree temperature has been achieved, set the fresh food compartment temperature.

Place a thermometer (that can display below freezing) in a 6 (or so) oz flexible plastic cup of water and place on a shelf in the fridge. A glass of water could break if the temperature gets below 32 degrees if the water turns to ice. The water acts as a buffer to rapidly changing temperatures when the door is opened to read the thermometer. If the fridge is "full", allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize before making changes.

If the fridge and freezer are empty, changes may be seen in just a few hours or less. Otherwise, wait the 12 / 24 hours for the freezer / fridge compartments.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Freezer always on

If the display reads -20 even though the freezer is set for 00, shut the unit off. If you can still hear the freezer compressor running, the board has a stuck relay for the freezer compressor. You will need a new board.
