You can download the drivers from the Manufacturer Web Site. You do not mention which Operating System you have ie: Windows7, XP , Home Edition…
Go to the Manufacturer Web Site ie: and choose your OS and download and install the drivers and software, then restart your computer.
The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.
The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.
Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.
