Holding the tax rate button down doesn't work. It just locks out the other keys. I'd love to know how to set this too. It seems to default to 5%, my state is 6%. They should change the state tax rate to match my calculator, I guess.

I just figured it out for the MS-80tv... hold the set key (try several times - set will appears) then press tax+, then enter 6 the set key again. I just did it and it works!!!

Press and hold the rate set key, then type in your tax rate and press rate set again. This should do it (I have a MS-8TV which I think is pretty similar).

I CANT CHANGE THE TAX RATE

1. Press [AC]
2. Hold [SET/%] key for about 2 seconds
3. Press [TAX+]
4. Input the tax rate
5. Press [SET/%]

The above worked for my MS-80TV. I did have to do it a couple times. I noticed when I did it the time it worked I could see the word "SET" in the display. I think the key might be to hold the set button just until you see the word SET.

Best Wishes!

CASIO TE-3000s , i would like to change the tax rate on my "grocery tax" button.

Hi.
Try turning the key to program mode then,

type new rate (you may have to add decimal places such as 8.00 or 8.000)
Then press your grocery tax button
Then press SUBTOTAL

Turn back to REG mode, and try it.

Let me know if it doesn't work.

To change the task number you must press and hold % (rate set) for 3 to 5 seconds, should appear tax XX %, now type your tax number and press % again and AC. To test type "100" press TAX + and the result should be 110, if your tax rate is 10% for example.
