Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a pprotection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty

Disconnect all speakers (at the amp terminals) and the RCA's leaving just power, ground, and remote connected. Does it turn on now without going to protection? If so, plug in the RCA's. Still good? If so, you have a shorted wire or bad speaker. If it still stays in protection, the amp is faulty. Have it repaired or replace it.

Protect mode. will it work again? how can "i" fix

This indicates a load on the system, turn receiver off, remove speaker wires from the back of the unit. Now power up and turn volume right down, if the word protect stays off, there is a short in the wires or one of the speakers. But if the word protect comes on, "with wires and speakers dis-connected, it means there is a short in one or more of the audio outputs in the receiver. If you are handy using a digital meter then you may be able to track the shorts down, and replace the parts to get it up and running, also if you can solder then it will make the job easier.

My 4 channel amp keeps going into protect mode when i power on,its not a imminet light, but it blinks once then dies out,plz help

Remove all speaker inputs and outs and just have your 12volt battery, ground and radio remote connected and power up the amp. If it turns red instantly, then the amp is shorted/blown. If it stays green, then install your speaker inputs and outs one at a time. make sure your amp is on while your doing this. if the amp goes into protect mode, take note of which wire it was for it's most likely shorted. Fix that shorted wire and the unit should stay on.

Hi does the amp go into protection mode? or does the sound dip and amp stays on? if it goes into protection mode there's a good chance your running the amp wrong. If it dips and stays on its a power problem that can be fixed by adding a farad capacitor.. thank you for using Fixya.com

It overheated, due to lack of ventilation. Now in protective mode

Disconnect all speakers at the receiver, if it stays on, post a comment and I can help you troubleshoot further. If it stays in "protect" it needs serviced. Hope this helps.

Why does my amp stay in protect mode?

The most common reason an amplifier goes into or remains in protect mode is shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible reasons for it to go into protect, read the following page.
