Channel avr volume

Connect the 3.5mm cable to the iPod headphone output and the two RCA plugs into any unused analogue audio input on the Denon AVR 1803. Then choose the appropriate input on the Denon, press play and enjoy the music. Be careful about volume. Start with the volume on the iPad low and adjust to suit.

I'm not familiar with your unit. However, go to systems surround set up and turn up volume for those surround speakers you speak of.

Sounds like a possible amp problem. Probably needs to go in for repairs.

If yourt subwoofer has a Standby setting, turn it OFF. Have the sub stay on whenever it has power.

Maybe the audio amplifier IC are fried and need to be replaced

This sounds to me as an issue not with your AVR but with your cable unit. I have seen this where there is a sample rate issue with the cable boxes. I would try to get another cable box, and see if the issue persists.

You may be able to unplug the unit. Then turn it back on while pressing two buttons on the front of the unit. You will have to find out which two buttons they are, it can't just be any two. What you will be doing to the unit is resetting the micoprossing of the unit. When you do this the unit will flash, reset itself, you the release the buttons and your good as new. I have done this with a couple different reciever and it is a easy fix.
