PANASONIC MICROWAVE OVEN MODEL# NN-L829BA SERIAL # AD913700879
Hello,
John here, My aunt recently passed and we where cleaning her house for resale. I was given the oven and I pluged it in before we took it out of the house and seamed to work fine. We set it up in the house and used it for 3 days , everything worked fine. Until we tried to re heat osmething and when you push the start button and release it it would work fine for 3 minuter and turn off? When you keep your finger on the start button it will cook. My solution I unpluged it and it worked for 1/2 a day and started the same thing again. I remember working in a nursing home where they had a oven that you had to put a code in it to work it. Could this be one of them? I got from the monitor read out on the unit that it had a child lock on it.
I didn't get a n owners manual with the unit, so I am a little lost. As I said earlier I only went with the read ont on the unit.
bought ours at a garage sale for $20 so it doesn't owe us a thing. Worked fine for about a year - then got cute! Like going to Vegas - sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. First it works fine. Next time it shuts off after about 3 seconds and says to read the manual. Haven't got the manual. Tried going through the functions and resetting all. It will work again once - and then nada. Unplug - reset the time - and it might work once. Might not. Any ideas? Tired of going to Vegas.bought ours at a garage sale for $20 so it doesn't owe us a thing. I have not yet found a manual for a National microwave model NN-K577F online.
The National brand was a subsidiary brand of what is now known as Panasonic. National brand kitchen appliances stopped being manufactured in 2008. Source of information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_(brand)
The Panasonic company may hold a copy of the user manual for the NN-K577WF model in its archives, however.
On the home page for the Panasonic division in your country, there should be a Contact Us link or a Live Chat link. Ask if the company Archives holds a copy of the manual for the National microwave oven NN-577WF or the Panasonic microwave oven NN-577WF and if you can obtain a copy. Note: There may be a charge for a copy.

Microwave Ovens: Panasonic in-house expert Janet introduces the main benefits of the Panasonic ...
I had a handle break and I had to buy a new microwave. You usually can't find parts for smaller appliances on line or at a hardware store. Is it under warranty still? See link below. Panasonic Microwave Model NNL829BA Parts
If
the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback
signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will
stop the cook cycle.
It could possibly be as simple as a loose connection in that area. The repair shop your friend used may not have been Panasonic-authorized.
Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
