If you have tried turning it off and on again, and the problem is still there, then the printers sensors that detect the cartridge type are not getting the signal they expect from the new cartridge. The electrical contacts are probably dirty with ink. Remove the cartridge and try cleaning all the contacts you can see on it and in the printer where it was.

If you ahve the packaging, the guide should tell you or direct you a site that carries this information.
