Gear Motor for EPM-400 popcorn machine

IF THE FACTORY CANT HELP TRY WW GRAINGER THEY STOCK A LARGE SELECTION OF SMALL GEAR MOTORS.

There are many possible problems that will cause your agitator to not spin, But you said the gear in the cabinet comes off easily, it should not.
There is a flat part of the motor shaft that extends thru the top of the cabinet that the gear should be tightened onto with an allen wrench via a set screw. This is the first place to check. When the motor is on, you should not be able to stop that cabinet gear from turning. (not easily anyway).

Manuals are not on the internet for Cretors Machines. It is not detailed enough for individual gears either. You must get a complete motor assembly.
The part you are looking for is 2429-A, Motor for GR-6 goldrush popcorn machine.
Any concessions distributor will have it, or can get it for you.

You will need to buy the entire agitator motor. For a G8 that is part number y8213. You can get it at a Concessions dealer, or from Partstown.com

I got the same problem,so I disassembled the transmission box and noticed that the smallest cogwheel got stripped,but no one has given me a solution for that,they are machines made in china and neither nostalgia electrics nor any other company in the US sells replacement products.

Maximatic Deluxe Popcorn Trolley Elite Cuisine EPM 400 popcorn machine burner is burnt out. where can i find a replacement pot?

I just spoke with Nostalgia Electrics Customer Service and they stated that they do not sell replacement parts of any type for this piece of CR4P! Seriously... why would anyone design a nylon gear in between two metal gears unless it was designed to fail.

We got a Lincoln Popper from discounttommy.com and had the same problem. We sent the whole motor assembly to them for replacement on 10/17/09. It's 1-7-10 and the machine still doesn't work. This company has the worst bunch of incompetent morons I've ever dealt with! They have dropped the ball every step of the way and offered NO apology!! I even spoke to the owner and he defended their 'Customer Service Manager' who has done nothing but screw everything up!! Incredible!! The motor they sent spun in reverse, they sent the wrong size gear for it and they sent the wrong piece that goes above the kettle around the motor gear shaft. And that's just half of the story!! Our PTA had to go and by a Gold Label machine from a local vender for over $450. because discounttommy could not replace the motor before we needed it again on 12-3-09 for concessions and they had 6 weeks to do it!! So my solution is to AVOID discounttommy.com first of all and avoid these cheap machines. Gold Medal is the best machine. It has metal gears unlike the cheap junk machines plastic gears. Trust me on this please!!
