All of a sudden I can receive faxes but can't send on my HP OfficeJet Pro L7590. If I dial a "1" before the area code it says "we're sorry, it is necessary to dial an access code for the number you've dialed." If I don't use the "1" it says "You must first dial a 1 or a zero. It's a local long distance call. Don't know what happened.

Can you send faxes to a local number? If you can the problem is likely to be that there is no long distance carrier set up for your new VOIP service. You could also try using a regular telephone connected to the same jack as the fax uses to try dialing a long distance number, this may give you a hint as to what's wrong. You should also contact Comcast tech support about this problem, the VOIP box may not be properly configured for long distance service.
