Acer have all the drivers on their website.

You can go there - Acer.com and select Support / downloads and search for your model.

then select OS - XP,VISTA, WIN7/8 and download and run.

Good sound card to record speeches

All sound cards can record either through the microphone input or line input (in sterio) A sound recording/editing package like Audacity works very well - free downloads available.

Sound

Click on Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds, Speeches and Audio Devices

On the computer's native volume control, make sure nothing is muted.

If you have a sound card installed, reinstall the installation CD that came with it. If you no longer have the CD, go to the manufacturer's website and get the software from their website.

In many cases, when you go to "Sounds, Speeches, and Audio Devices," you can look for a particular item that has a yellow exclamation point beside it, and tell Windows to reinstall any missing drivers.
