How to Delete Text Messages From an iPhone

You can remove third-party apps by:

1. Holding down your finger on an app until they all start to "jiggle".
2. Press the small "x" in the upper left corner.
3. Pressing "Delete" on the dialog that warns that you will also delete all data associated with the app.
4. Press the "home" button (round physical button below your screen with the "box" on it) to stop all the jiggling.

You cannot remove built-in apps such as Messages, FaceTime, AppStore, etc.

If you have saved a lot of apps in your iPhone, and want to delete them, you can directly delete them on your iPhone. You only need to keep touching the icon of the app until it wiggles with an X at the upper left corner. Then tap the X and choose "Delete" in the pop-up dialog. You will get the apps deleted with no efforts. Sometimes you cannot see the X, and you'd better check the settings at this moment: Go to Settings > General > Restrictions, and tapping "Deleting Apps" to ON. Then you can try to delete the apps on your iPhone again.

Way 1: retrieve pictures from iPhone with iTunes backup file
1. Connect the iPhone to the computer with a USB cable.
2. Open iTunes.
3. If you have a new or erased iPhone, iTunes will prompt you to restore from backup.
4. Otherwise, Control-click on your iPhone under DEVICES in the left menu.
5. Select Restore From Backup...
6. Choose the backup you wish to sync and click the Restore button.

there are 2 different ways to delete an App:
1) t's easy to delete apps from the iPhone or iPad. Simply tap and hold on any icon for about 2 seconds - see them to start to wiggle and tap the X button in the left corner. that's it.
2) For devices running iOS 5 and later, there is also another way to do this is hidden in the Settings app, in the General tab, under: usage.

- you can manage the apps on your iOS device. Once there, you'll notice (after a certain delay if you have a lot of apps) that your on-board apps are listed in descending size order. That means: the apps that take up a lot of space will be listed first.
Tap on any app and you'll get even more info, including the version, the size of the app and the size of the Documents & Data. Just below that, you'll have a Delete App button in red. At the very bottom, you'll see how much space is available on the device itself.
