Can hear motor running but nothing happens in dishwasher

Motor runs but nothing happens. No water enters machine, no motion inside machine. Checked inlet screen, replacd flood saver supply line with a standard supply in case flood saver had tripped. Then discovered that nothing inside machine was moving when motor was running. Also cycle circuit breaking as I read somewhere that this sometimes will reset the control board. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Kenmore Ultrawash with quietguard model 665-1702403

Discovered inlet valve can be tested by 1) remove the valve, 2) put a hose on valve that you can blow thru 3) CAREFULLY connect valve to 120V while blowing through hose. It may "sound" like the valve is working but you must blow air through it. The valve defaults to the closed position and opens when volage is applied. Mine sounded like it was opening and closing but this was simply the solenoid clicking. No air would pass through the valve. Replaced the valve and all is working again. Thanks for the help.

Hi, you need to test voltage to the water inlet valve. If you are getting voltage (120V) replace the valve. If you are not getting voltage check the water level switch located in the front corner of the tub.
If I can assist you any further with parts or part #'s, please let me know.

Thanks
Vic

Hi can u pls help. I have a Bosch sgv57t03GB which retains the water. I have checked the usual pipes and drains. I've checked the Elec board all working fine. Nothing open circuit. I swapped the solenoids over and there was no change. I suspect it's the pump. Is there any way of checking this? Also I could do with a technical manual any help with this ??

Whirlpool dishwasher du920pfgq3 will not drain

If you hear the drain motor running but water not draining then there appears to be a blockage in the drain sump or hose. Assuming your kitchen drain is clear you will have to check filters inside the dishwasher and worst the drain pump.
If you do not hear drain motor running then the drain motor needs to be checked.

This is probably okay, you have clock like motions running the motor electric contacts. There needs to be a delay between some cycles or shorting will occur. The motor on some designs, for example. is reversed to pump out water. to have this work long term, a delay is inherent and not a concern.

Dishwasher arms do not spin

It sounds like your wash motor has failed to run at full speed to pump the water through the spray arms. The computer board will eventually report an "LE" error code for the motor's issue.

Our PLD4375RFC2 dishwasher fills up with water but doesn't run

no their is no fuse. sound to me like your motor is not working, however
the pump should still drain out.push cancel only and unit should drain if it does then id say motor bad. you can try to take apart and check motor blade ive seen toothpics, food , other objects hold motor impeller from turning making it seem like its the motor but actually its just stuck..remove btm wash arm and filter cover thentake two or 3 small screws from a plastic cover covering motor impeller, look to see if anything is in their if so remove. warning if you see a white ball down their leave it alone reinstall and see what happens. hope this helps.

GE Dishwasher not working...

Sounds like you have a one of four possible issues. More info to diagnose would be helpful. (age, which mid cycle) If the motor runs when you turn the timer dial than it is a belt/motor pump issue. If the motor does not run than a bad motor start switch or the water level switch. More than likely the motor/pump assembly as this is usually the problem on these models. If newer check with whirlpool the manufacturer to see if it is covered by warranty.

Dishwasher confused

i suspect this is nothing to do with switching off during the cycle.
take the bottom plate off and check if there is water leaked into the bottom pan. alternatively, if you can, tilt the machine back to 45deg and see if water runs out.
most machines have a float switch in the base so that if water leaks, all that will happen is that the drain pump runs and i think this is what you are hearing

Dishwasher will not go thru wash cycles

Hi
You have a problem which will need some knowledge of how the machine works and some test meter. There may be a problem with the motor. It may not beworking, jammed or dead -burnt out.The motor does the work after the water-cold,hot or medium-has entered.
The timer-you say works- will connect power to the motor to do its job, power to solonoid for the valves to open at the right time to let water in and out-pushed out by the motor.Remove the water with a cup and rags from the machine and then see if the motor turns by hand. This may mean you have to get under the machine.ALL WAYS REMOVE THE POWER CORD AT THE WALL POWER OUTLET--Jay
