Yes frn this is happen due to the jam in the DVD rom. when you press the eject button put one pin in the hole that is just below the eject button. so that you can eject your DVD. or just hit the cd ROM slowly.

Will the door open if you press a paperclip in the little access hole on the front? There is a lil rubberband inside that has prolly stretched not allowing the door to open.

Just Relax & In Front Of Ur "dvd burner ROM",there is a small Tiny Hole..Try a Needle & push it in..the Panel will Open & Eject..
also,this is Happening Bcoz,Ur dvd burner ROM is Stuck from Inside.

You need to get a straightened paper clip, or similar stiff wire, locate the small hole in front draw of DVD, insert wire and push gently in, until you feel/hear a click, keep pushing and the draw will pop open.
There should be a very small hole in the front of the face plate. Insert a paperclip and gently press the emergency release. The door should come open. Try this with the machine powered down.
hello, here is the simplest thing to do if your cd/dvd is stacked inside. 1. punch through the hole infront of your burner using a paper clip, that will force the cd door to open, try it..
either it is the ribbon wire, the motor that ejects the tray or the belt that connect the tray and motor is the problem. In case the above three are fine, replace the drive as the sparking might kill your moterboard.
I have this problem with my DVD rom too. I don't know if we have the same ones or not. I took mine apart to try and diagnose the problem, and it turns out that there was this thing inside that wasn't dropping down all the way to allow the tray to slide out, it was staying locked in place.
I was unable to find a cure for this.
However, I found that when I press the button to open the DVD rom, when it fails to open, I give the top of mt computer a slap, and it un-locks the mechanism and the DVD tray slides out properly.

on the left side of the dvd drive there is a small little hole which you can insert a paper clip etc to open the draw push it in this will open the draw for you.
u can see a pin hole on the drive just above the open button or the green light...press the button once n poke the hole with a pin ,,,,it ll hit a soft end...continue pressing it with some force....the tray will open...
