First, there is no fuse to replace.
Next, have you tried more than one source such as playing DVD?

Took back cover off, followed speaker wires to board, unplugged and re-attached, speakers now work.

The first thing to try is rescanning the Freeview channels as it may just be a software corruption...if you have the option of "1st time installation" pick that. Also let me know if there is any buzzing sound coming from the tv..

Need a lower rear board Part #H512264

No one has it in stock--board should be repairable unless lost etc.

You might also contact PTS Electronics who repairs boards and may have one of these rebuilt as well.

If its the board with the RCA jacks it may be fixable.

Hitachi 53SDX01B sound

This set had lots of audio problems- some idiot decided to put the entire audio circuit on a single compact board---it develops all kinds of bad solder connections on the numerous flat Pak chips on both top and bottom of the board.

Board no longer available from Hitachi (srs board) and rebuild usually is over 150 plus shipping.

We send the board out for that as I have seen top notch experts spend hours trying to solder the board and not after have a working set.

Hitachi just crammed too many parts in too small an area and the heat bakes the board---Understand I was seeing this failure when these sets first came out--failing after a week or two in someones home.

I need to replace the dust cover on my Hitachi 53SDX01B

the problem here is Hitachi usually if it still has it sells all three screens as a unit---expensive.

You may want to search with GOOGLE the internet as some companies sell replacement "protective" screen replacements.

I have even seen one time someone found a piece of plexi-glass and had it cut to the exact size and thickness for a replacement.

Hitachi 53SDX01B Rear Projection Television - No Picture

i have a 50" r.p. Hitachi, kinda had the same problem, it would go off at different times and i't hit on the back and get it to come back on,but after awlhile i'd have to hit it more and harder to get it back on till it quit, the menu would come on and would show the video 1 ,3 and that in the corner. After paying $75 for a guy to say it wasn't worth fixing i tried myself. Not knowing what i was doing, i checked all wire plug connections. Found 2 that wasn't seated good replugged them and still didn't work then tried the bulbs, just kinda jiggled all 3 one didn't feel the same so just tapped on it alittle and it popped, i guess back into place, anyway turned on the tv and it worked. Had moved it recentlly so i don't know if that is what moved the bulb. Hope this helps, also mine is a '94 model.

Sound, but no picture on some imputs

theres a digital switch IC on or near the AV panel that needs to be replaced if I`m understanding your question correctly you go into menu and switch to Ant. B & there is sound but no picture correct? If this is correct the IC will have to be replaced or it`s supply voltage is missing.
