The other end cut the received page as it was longer than the

Error code on display. Sc402. what does the error

Transfer problem

Your Transfer unit disconnected or bad connection.
Unlikely, but a transfer power supply could be faulty.
A piece of paper stuck in the transfer area could also cause that code to come up.
If the machine is dirty and you see toner all over when you open the right side of the copier, have it cleaned thoroughly, that will most likely solve your problem.

The current feedback signal for the transfer roller is not detected.

I have a ricoh 1022 giving me an erro message "Funtional problem within copier" code sc402. can you send me step by step to fix this problem?

Transfer roller leak error negative electrode.The feedback voltage of the transfer roller is insufficient.Verify the correct instalation of the transfer unit or the separation unit.Check and clean the transfer roller.Verify the connection of the PCU unit(loose).

Not sure what SC818 is as not in my manuals please try the following.

Entering and Exiting SP mode
1. Press the Clear Mode key.
2. Use the keypad to enter “107”.
3. Hold down Clear/Stop for at least 3 seconds.
4. Enter the Service Mode.
To enter the Normal Service Mode:
Copy SP On the touch-panel, press Copy SP.

Once in the service mode turn the main switch off located on the left hand side of the machine wait 5-10 seconds then switch back on. This should get the machine working. Hope this helps
PLEASE DO NOT ADJUST ANYTHING ELSE WITHIN SERVICE MODE AS CAN DAMAGE MACHINE OPERATION)

Fault code SC402

Transfer roller leak error 2
A current leak signal for the transfer
roller is detected.
A current feedback signal for the
transfer roller is not detected.
• High voltage supply board defective
• Poor connection of the PCU
• Transfer/separation unit set
incorrectly
• Transfer roller damaged

The above is what SC402 means the most common thing is that someone tried to change the toner and pull out the drum unit a little way.

OPen right hand door open front door lift green toner handle press green button and pull toner unit out press the green button further and keep pulling and then the toner unit will come out totally.

To the right of that is the drum unit pinch the unlock and pull out then push all the way back in. Reinstall the toner unit close all covers and turn machine on.

Hopefully this will work if not there is going to be a problem with the other possibilities listed above
