My Emerson Microwave MW9117W has lost power and was wondering if there was a fuse or something that needed replacing

There are fuses inside. The big thing is to figure out why the fuse went bad. either something shorted and blew the fuse, or it got hot and went bad due to bad connections at fuse holder. or maybe a bad door switch blew the fuse. I have also had fuses just get old and tired., and just needed to be replaced.

How do I replace fuse

Well you need to find where the fuse is located, And determine what type of fuse is being used. So you know what fuse you need to buy to replace it.

How do you know you need to replace the fuse?

Replace fuse Kenmore 40188523011

If you know that a fuse is open, you need to find out why it went out before replacing it. There are typically three fuses in any given microwave oven. Line or monitor fuse, cavity temp fuse and magnetron temp fuse.

No power on the microwave

HI, there is an in line fuse located on the Ac power cord near the power supply inside the microwave. Check to see if the fuse is blown. replace the fuse if needed. Now, if the fuse is in good condition, this will confirm power board failure. you will need to replace the failed component or replace the entire power assembly in this case.

NEED TO REMOVE WALL MOUNTED GE JVM1190BY002 MICROWAVE

I also have a JVM1190 and was baffled as to removal. My very handy brother solved it in two minutes. Above the door and keypad there is a long grill secured by two small squarehead (Robertson) screws. Remove the screws and grill and you will see on either side of the opening a long bolt. They go through to the back of the microwave where the support plate attached to the wall. The bolts have a slot in the middle for a flat blade screwdriver. Simply turn the bolt to release from the back plate. Make sure there is a helper underneath as the microwave is fairly heavy. Do the reverse for re-installation.

Fuse keeps blowing.

couple questions -
what else is on the circuit,
and what current does the oven need

there are whirlpool over-range models with
1200watts of microwave,
1500watts of convection power, a
60watt bulb and a
375watt fan

over 15amps -20amp circuit needed

if you inadvertantly replaced a higher current fuse with a 15amp fuse, it will blow every time.
the install guide http://www.whirlpool.com/assets/pdfs/product/ZINSTALL/8206589.pdf reccommends 20amp
not a solution, something to check,
