Iomega.com is now lg.com-was iomega bought out? i have iomega super slim dvd writer & it stopped working so i need to re-install the driver but can't find it. any help out there? thanks!

I have an iomega super slim dvd writer & it stopped working (is recognized as 'a dvd player is in USB slot F: but that's as far as it goes. I think I need to re-install the driver but can't find it because I can't find iomega anywhere. any help out there? thanks!

likely DC 5 to 9 volts but perhaps as high as 12 for most devices. 9 is a good middle ground to start. You can get adapters with a switch for 3.5 to 12 volts, just be certain of the polarity and always start at lower volts like 5 or 6.

If you just want to use the LG external drive, then it will work with your new laptop (I presume it is a USB external drive). You don't need any installation software, because your new laptop will detect it and install the driver automatically.

My iomega super slim dvd writer doesn't work any longer. when usb is inserted, computer recognizes a dvd-drive in the F: location, but that's the end of it.
You might want to try a different burning software but most likely the drive has become defective.

How to download driver for iomega super slim dvd portable writer extern
fisrt connect dvd writer this should activate the found new harware wizard if it does not start
click start control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives you should see a yellow ? question mark right click you will see options to update driver,roll back driver,or
select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver
if these options fail you might have to start the add new hardware wizard manually this might vary depending on your operating system click start control panel scroll to printers and other harware select across to left hand side you will see add hardware tab (in xp) click start control panel hardware and sound you will see add a device in (windows 7)
