Question about Philips 20PF5120/01 20 in. EDTV-Ready LCD Television
When turned on the tv s green power light comes on and then nothing. i think that the tvs computer is corrupted is there a way of re booting it? i have had a cheep freeview box that i think has messed the whole thing up, any ideas, someone suggested that this may be possible using the tv remote control, a combination of numbers etc, is this possible?
I had exactly the same problem When the TV was switched on all I could
see was a flashing green light. After cheching the TV internals and not
seeing a problem including the power supply unit which looked and
checked normal. Here is what I did to get M TV working again.
Disconnect it from the power supply. Hold down all the buttons
simultaneously i.e. the on/off, the volume, the programme, menu
buttons, all of them simultaneously and Plug it into the power supply
again.
Lo and behold My TV jumped back into life after an absence of about 4 weeks.
Try it yourself exactly as above.
Best of luck.

most of the time the led in front of the tv will blink red and that will tell the technician wich circuit to look in. if it does blink at all when it shuts down then the problem is more than likely in the power supply. the part number for that is 313819875691
