Question about Polaroid i733LP Digital Camera

Polaroid i733lp- green light flashes when i try to turn it on

The batteries ran out during taking a shot and now the barrel is out permanantly and it won't turn on :(

    Hi all,

    Same here, battery whent dead wile taking picture and barrel is out. Camera wont turn on whit new batteries :S

    the barrel was out when taking pictures and even replacing the batteries hasn't helped - the light comes on an occasionally it will make a beeping sound

    same problem here! Batteries ran out while my daughter was taking a picture and now even with new batteries, the barrel will not go in. The camera will do nothing.

Try changing the batteries to Duracell alkaline...it seems to work. I had a similar problem, now the camera is fine again.

    THe Polaroid i733 has two battery settings. You can access these by pressing the menu key and selecting set up. You can choose Alkaline or NimH. I suggest Duracell Alkaline. If you are using rechargeables ensure that they are NimH and change the setting to reflect same. That should solve the problem.

I have this same camera and had this problem once. Turns out the batteries I used were duds. Try changing out the batteries. I would suggest lithium or rechargeable batteries.

The battery in the film pack may be dead, or the camera is broken. Take the film pack out and replace it. If the camera does not reset then the camera is gone.

It may be something more serious, but the problem you describe is frequently due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a clean cloth (heavy corrosion buildups may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment, clean the contacts at both ends of the batteries, and reinstall them in the camera. Assuming that the batteries are fresh/fully charged, this takes care of about 90% of the startup problems. I hope it works for you.

My batteries died in my pink i733 and when it shut down the "zoom lense" did not recede. i put fresh batteries in it but all that happens is that the green light flashes. it wont come on or...
This can sometimes be fixed if you remove the batteries over night and allow the camera to sit and discharge it should correct this problem. hope this helps.

Sounds like you need to change the camera settings and cut down on turning the camera on and off between shots. Viewing pics on the LCD screen eats up the battery life the most... just an FYI.

Won't turn on! Possible lens problem?
My daughter just had this problem with her camera. The camera was off with the lens barrel extended. When I looked at it closely, I noticed that the inner part of the lens barrel was at a slight angle to the camera. I pushed firmly on the low side of the inner part of the barrel, and it popped the rest of the way out. Camera works fine now. Good luck!

You can push the power button and it does not turn the camera on. We have put new batteries in the camera with no luck. Apparently Polaroid does not work on their own cameras or stand behind their cameras. Any help would be appreciated
